Recent Work: Andover Newton Theological School

Admissions Folder and Certificate Programs Package

Interiors: Admissions Folder and Insert, Certiciate Programs Package"A brief book of holy days"As they state on their website, “Founded in 1807, Andover Newton is the nation’s oldest theological school and its first graduate institution of any kind. From the start, it created the model for theological education followed by virtually all graduate seminaries ever since.”

Eymer Design has been working with Andover Newton Theological School for nearly three years, stringing individual and sometimes extremely small projects into a consistent visual brand identity. This systems-oriented approach to design has been a major reason that we have been able to build strong, long-term, client relationships–one brick at a time.

The photos above represent the admissions package, the certificate program folder and inserts, and a small notebook that describes the holy days of Christian, Islamic, Jewish, and Unitarian Universalist religions. – Doug.

Know Your Audience (but in a non-insulting way)

The United States Department of Homeland Security and the Coast Guard have recently distributed adhesive labels to be placed on all canoes, kayaks, and rowboats for identification purposes.

The approximately 3.0" x 4.5" stickers are printed with a reflective orange base with clearly space for the boat's owner to enter their name and two telephone numbers.

Just in case, the boat owner was not in total grasp of the concept, there is a reminder at the base of the label that clearly states: "Use waterproof marker”.

Duh!–Doug.

Seth Godin is NOT a Thief!

Ever since the release of Seth Godin’s new book, Poke the Box, I have received numerous inquiries regarding the book’s cover.

  • First, I did not design either the book or the cover.
  • Furthermore, Seth did not steal from a design that was created by Eymer Design (circa 1995).

It just so happens, that Seth and I have made use of the same clip art library of images.

Our version of the balding man with the flying hat, was used as a promotional graphic for our marketing communications firm. Please visit the Eymer Design self-promotion section of our site, and you will see an extensive collection of our self-promotional work.

As for marketing guru Seth Godin, it looks as though he has added another best seller to his repertoire of classic marketing books. –Doug.
