Paging Mr. Scott, Mr. David Meerman Scott!

Gaijin Male ModelOver the late December to early January holidays, (or whatever you are supposed to call them) we completed our fifth e-book for good friend and marketing speaker/strategist, David Meerman Scott.

Working with David has always been exciting. From his days at NewsEdge – where he was a corporate muckety-muck in charge of marketing – to the launch of his career as thought leadership heavy. I am proud to say that my firm designed his original hardcover book, “Eyeball Wars” (2001) and worked closely with David on the design of his latest best-seller, “World Wide Rave” (2009).

side note:
For World Wide Rave, David convinced the publisher to let us design the funky interior graphics. This was a great opportunity, and David, we thank you!

The most recent e-book, Gaijin Male Model, allowed us to delve into the 1980’s David Meerman Scott photo archives. I particularly enjoyed the photo that we chose for the cover – a sophisticated Scott, smoking a pipe. The story is extremely humorous, as well as engaging – as it traces his brief Japanese modeling career, while working as a corporate marketing representative and moonlighting as an American executive model– for Japanese print and television advertisements. During this time, David shared the spotlight with Japan’s own version of Mick Jagger! (read it, to believe it)

If you interested in picking up a copy of his latest e-book for yourself, follow this link for a FREE! download. While you are on David’s site, you may also want to pick up the following e-book titles: Lose Control of Your Marketing!, The New Rules of Viral Marketing, The New Rules of PR, and How Will You Create a WORLD WIDE RAVE?

If you are planning an upcoming conference or corporate event, David is a no-brainer choice for a guest speaker. David can be reached at: david@freshspot.com

All-American Music Debut

Amy Black, a good friend and EYMER client, has released her debut album with her band, The Red Clay Rascals. If you have an appreciation for good ol' American music. Give their album a spin.

For test drives, or to purchase the album, please visit their website: www.amyblacklive.com

Here is their own description of the project:
In their debut album, Americana band Amy Black & the Red Clay Rascals pay homage to songwriters including Johnny Cash, Emmylou Harris, John Prine, Bill Withers and Waylon Jennings. They weave a tapestry of blues, classic country, folk and traditional music that tells a story of life, love and loss. Two original songs written by the singer add to this must-have collection.

Happy listening!
