The United States Department of Homeland Security and the Coast Guard have recently distributed adhesive labels to be placed on all canoes, kayaks, and rowboats for identification purposes.

The approximately 3.0" x 4.5" stickers are printed with a reflective orange base with clearly space for the boat's owner to enter their name and two telephone numbers.

Just in case, the boat owner was not in total grasp of the concept, there is a reminder at the base of the label that clearly states: "Use waterproof marker”.

Duh!–Doug.
