view this site ONLY after you have eaten lunch!

With apologies to our many vegan friends, the Wisconsin Milk Marketing Board has put together a great web site for the Cheese & Burger Society.

In addition to mouth-watering photographs, the site also features a RETRO ROLODEX navigation system. The site's narrator is Seinfeld's own David Puddy (Patrick Warburton). This is a really fun site to view on a Friday afternoon, but only after your stomach is sufficiently full. Enjoy.

Marketing Lessons From The Grateful Dead

EYMER received their box of finished books. It is always fun to see a finished project although sometimes they need to be put away for future viewing.

This project flew through our studio incredibly fast. I guess you could call it a reactive project. Very fun and the finished product looks great. I can appreciate it, right now!

EYMER Summer Design Project: Marketing Lesson From The Grateful Dead

For the past several years, EYMER has completed several projects for Marketing & Leadership Speaker, David Meerman Scott. Projects have included a series of e-books, posters, and the design of three of David's books: Eyeball Wars, World Wide Rave and (hot-of-the-press) Marketing Lessons From The Grateful Dead.

Marketing Lesson Of The Grateful Dead was released earlier today by publisher John Wiley & Sons, Inc. and co-authors David Meerman Scott and HubSpot's CEO, Brian Halligan. To read a full account of the book and contents, please visit David Meerman Scott's blog.

Our firm was responsible for the design of the covers and the entire book interior. To make our design life easier, we were fortunate enough to be able to use the (original) photographic work of Grateful Dead photographer, Jay Blakesburg (who started shooting the band in 1978, as a high school student). Grateful Dead Illustrator, Richard Biffle provided black & white, spot illustrations for many of the interior pages. Richard has been working with The Dead and Spin-off Bands for the past 20 years.

The project was a fast-mover and probably flew through our shop in less time than a LIVE Grateful Dead performance! Thanks David, Brian and the fine folks at Wiley!

A few years ago, a brave young creative director/producer from the Showtime Network, Stephanie Sassola, hired Eymer Design to develop a brand identity and some video lead-ins for a cartoon channel that Showtime was developing.

In that particular year, several of our own promotional graphics along with several paying projects showed up Print Magazine's Design Annual. Stephanie took a chance on our young firm, and not only hired us to develop the two-dimensional graphics, but she also allowed us to develop the animated introductory pieces, lead-ins and connectors (I am not sure whether these are really the correct technical terms – but they sound pretty good).

I had an unbelievably great time working with NYC's, Broadway Video in the development of the animated pieces. Unfortunately, before 'Kids Komedy' could see the light of day, it was killed-off due to some corporate re-jiggering and/or restructuring.

The final Kids Komedy logo is posted above – along with one of the surviving 'rough cuts' from the intro.

Stephanie, thanks for taking a chance with us. It was a project that we will never forget!
