eBook Mania. Catch It!

Our good friend and client David Meerman Scott recently posted a blog entry regarding eBooks and their purpose within a company’s marketing mix. Visit David’s blog, Web Ink Now and check out his article ‘Nerdy White Papers vs. Hip and Stylish eBooks.’

Over the past few years, Eymer Design has designed a collection of eBooks for David Meerman Scott and others. To download and view a few pieces from our collection, please visit our eBook resource library.

If you are considering an eBook and are looking for someone to do it – just give us a call or drop us an email. We would love to work with you!

Just a note of thanks, as this will come off random to you I am sure.

I just did my first series of ebooks with inspiration from you!

As an example of what to do, my husband sent me a link (who wrote the books) sent me to David Merrman Scott’s books. Here is a link to the books I created you can download for free: http://www.threehourbusiness.com/ebooks/

Your books are fresh, clean and the typography is well crafted and fun and has all the DM best practices.

As a fellow designer and new to ebook designer it was helpful to see what you had created and loved on your website how they are displayed.

If you have some time a few questions came up in the process:

1. Any advice on book size? Been trying to keep mine at 1 MB or slightly bigger.

2. What dpi do you use 300dpi or less?

3. Any advice as to how to best to show ebooks on a website?
example: PDF download? Small jpdg of cover only or a cover and page?
